Silverware is within the grasp of Manchester United. When is the 2016 FA Cup final? The 2016 FA Cup final concludes Saturday May 21st at Wembley Stadium.

In 1990 the last time Man U played Palace in the FA Cup final the match ended a 3 – 3 draw after extra time.  After a reply in concluded in a 1 – 0 for Man United.  At the time this win was reported as helping to save Alex Ferguson’s job, sealed by a goal by Lee Martin.

Anthony Martial may be the one to save Van Gal in the final.  The French striker has been pivotal in various matches and scored the goal against Everton to send Man United into the final.  Will this be enough to buy Van Gal another season at the club?

Martial scored the one thousandth goal at Old Trafford against Everton in the Barclays Premier League, and has scored 14 goals for his team this year.  Having something of a theatrical talent he has had a tendency to leave it to the last minute to get the ball in the back of the net in important matches.

Alan Pardew has promised Van Gal and Man United a difficult game in the final.  With players that can cause trouble for any team Pardew expects that Wilfried Zaha will be pivotal in the match.  Other players to watch, who have been very important in the run up to the final, include Connor Wickham who helped secure the win against Watford and Yannick Bolasie who was Alex Ferguson’s last senior signing in 2013.  Bolasie didn’t stay at Man United long but has played very well for Pardew’s Palace.
