Swansea making good progress in survival quest

With just two defeats in their last nine games, Swansea City have given their Premier League survival hopes a massive boost. After a period of uncertainty with no permanent boss in place, the Swans are now enjoying life under Italian Coach Francesco Guidolin.

The Welsh side are unbeaten in four, and come into this game on the back of consecutive 1-1 draws at home to Crystal Palace and away to West Bromwich Albion.

The home side may have to make do without the injured Sung-Yeung Ki for this clash.

Saints marching again

Southampton have won four of their last five Premier League matches. having drawn the other. As a result, they have climbed back up to seventh place in the table, and now have one eye on a Europa League qualification spot.

Prior to their recent revival, the Saints endured a torrid eight match spell in which they lost six games and won just one. In their most recent game, Ronald Koeman’s bagged a 1-0 home win against West Ham United. But despite their recent reversal of fortunes, they have still only one won of their last six games on the road.

Matt Target and Florin Grados are both still injured but Jay Rodriguez is close to a return and could feature.

Prediction
