Sat 9 Nov 2013 15:00 – Crystal Palace v Everton (Selhurst Park)

Referee: Craig Pawson

Crystal Palace have lost all but one of their Premier League games this season and now face an Everton side that have only been defeated once. That defeat came away to Man City at the Etihad Stadium. Palace remain in residence at the bottom of the table while Everton sit comfortably in seventh place, just a point away from second-placed Chelsea and five points behind the leaders.

Palace are still without a Manager and have several players out injured including Guedioura, Williams, Hunt, McCarthy and Murray. Everton will be hoping that Lukaku has recovered from the knock he received against Tottenham at the weekend, but they are still without Kone, Gibson and Alcaraz.

Everton score an average of 1.6 goals away from home and Palace concede an average of 2 every home game. Everton do have a habit of conceding away from home but Palace have only scored one goal against top-half opposition so far this season. The corner stats are nearly identical for the two teams with around 5 corners won and 6.2 conceded. This suggests a corner count of around 11 should be expected.

There has been no sign of a revival from Crystal Palace and Everton have started the season with real consistency with just one defeat their name. Therefore, a victory for the Toffees can be expected in this game, and with the abysmal record of the home team, the visiting fans can expect to see at least two goals.

Match prediction: Crystal Palace 0-2 Everton
