Bristol City meet Fulham on Saturday at the Ashton Gate stadium in Bristol, and they have something in common.  Both teams have drawn three matches in the past five, one and home and two away. Both have had one loss and one win. A match between form brothers.

Bristol City seem down on their luck.  Manager, Steve Cotterill, has said as much and thinks the Championship team are not achieving the position in the league they deserve. Against Cardiff City on Monday top goal scorer Jonathan Kodjia was denied a goal by Cardiff goal keeper David Marshall, and, had a goal disallowed due to offside.   Cardiff City fans may have hoped the Derby match would help improve attendance at home, but, the disjointed performance by both teams probably hasn’t helped.  Both teams had chances in that game, and Bristol where lucky that a late attempt by an unmarked Sammy Ameobi went wide.

The Bristol Post reports that luckless Bristol City’s defender Nathan Baker is in doubt for the clash against Fulham.  This could be a problem for Bristol because the signing from Aston Villa has played very well and has been instrumental in defense for the club.

So what of Fulham placed 11th in the league.  Fulham are on the tails of a convincing win against Reading.  Boss Kit Symons is under pressure from the owner, Shaid Khan, who wants to be in the play offs, and has gone on record to say that they really needed a win. Fulham came from two goals down against Reading with three goals from, Ross McCormack, Moussa Dembele, and Alexander Kacaniklic.  By all accounts this match, which ended Reading’s five game winning streak, was more exciting than Bristol’s previous. Who will be the best team on the day?

Symons goes to Ashton Gate under pressure from his the owner, but which Championship manager isn’t under pressure.  Cotterill has a match at home to prove his team deserve more.  Will it all boil down to another draw?  Get coverage and best odds from Betfair our premier partner.
