Huddersfield have hardly set the Premier League on fire but with a total of nine points from six games, they should be happy with the start they have made. Next up, is their toughest test yet as they take title contenders Tottenham Hotspur at the John Smiths Stadium.
Since winning their opening two games, the Terriers have drawn three and lost one, their only defeat coming away to West Ham United at the London Stadium. Their main concern will be the fact that they only scored one goal in that four-match spell. On the flip side, they have only conceded once at home soil all season. They come into this game on the back of a 0-0 draw away to Burnley which extended their winless run to four games.
Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to maintain their strong away form when they make the journey north this Saturday. Mauricio Pochettino’s men have struggled to come to terms with life at Wembley Stadium but have won their last five Premier League away games in a row scoring 21 goals in the process, a set of statistics that do not bode well for the home side.
In-form striker Harry Kane grabbed a hat-trick away to APOEL in their midweek Champions League fixture and will be fancied to get on the scoresheet again here – however, you might not get a great price.
Prediction
It’s hard to look beyond the visitors for the win here. They are playing better away from home, having notched up wins on their last five Premier League road trips. However, Huddersfield have kept things tight at home this term and will put up some resistance, so a high goal count should not be expected.
