Liverpool will look to add to their four-point haul when they welcome Arsenal to Merseyside on Sunday afternoon. Meanwhile, the visitors will be looking for their first league win at Anfield in almost five years.

The Reds had a typically scrappy start to their campaign, eventually coming away with a point from a 3-3 draw at Watford. They followed that up with a much more sober 1-0 win at home to Crystal Palace before cranking things up once again for their midweek Champions League qualifying clash with Hoffenheim.

Next up is what promises to be a goal-filled clash with one of their top four rivals. The last eight games between these two sides have produced a total of 35 goals, with six of them producing four or more. What’s more, both teams scored in all but one of those meetings.

Arsenal have also had a shaky start to their campaign, edging past Leicester City in a seven-goal opening day thriller before falling 1-0 away to Stoke City. They have not had much success at Anfield in recent times and will be expecting another tough battle on Sunday.

Arsene Wenger will be looking to take advantage of Liverpool’s defensive frailties while trying to cope with the relentless attacking trio of Firmino, Sane and Salah. All in all this promises to be another thrilling encounter between two entertaining sides.

Prediction

If past results are anything to go by, both teams can be expected to score in this clash and we should see at least three goals or more.
