Sunday Premier League Preview and Odds – Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Arsenal
March 04, 2018 14:30pm – The American Express Community Stadium
In-form Brighton and Hove Albion might rate their chances this weekend against and Arsenal side that has looked out of sorts in recent weeks.
Chris Hughton’s men are currently sat in 12th place in the Premier League table with a total of 31 points. They are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions, having won four and drawn two, and come into this game on the back of a 4-1 win over Swansea City.
As a newly-promoted side, the Seagulls were expected to struggle this term but they look on course for survival with 10 games left to play. Of course, all that could change if they hit another bad run of form.
Overall, the South Coast side have been fairly strong on home soil, winning three, drawing six and losing just two of their last 13 home matches in the league. However, they have yet to take a point off any of the top six at the Amex Stadium.
Meanwhile, Arsenal seem to be going through yet another crisis and anything other than a win on Sunday would raise the panic levels even further. The Londoners are currently 30 points behind league leaders Manchester City and 10 point outside of the top four. They come into this game on the back of a week in which they were twice beaten 3-0 by Pep Guardiola’s men.
Given their current position, it is no surprise that Arsene Wenger’s job is once again being called into question. The Frenchman seems entrenched in his potion at the club but a growing number of fans are of the opinion that a change is needed.
Prediction
Given the current form of both sides, this is a great opportunity for Brighton to add more points to their tally in a game that they would normally expect to lose. Of course, Arsenal are capable of putting in a performance on their day but the home side will be the more confident coming into this game.
As a result, the Brighton/Draw Double Chance bet looks tempting at a price of 5/6 with Betfair.
