Norwich will attempt to halt their slide towards the relegation zone on Sunday when they face an Arsenal side that have slipped to fourth in the Barclays Premier League table.

Norwich in relegation form

Norwich City have lost five out of their last six Premier League games and only two teams (Aston Villa and Bournemouth) have worse form over the last eight games. The recent 1-0 win at home to Swansea provided a small glimmer of light in what has been a dismal two months for Alex Neil and his men.

The Canaries were perhaps unlucky not to snatch a draw at Man City back in October and restricted reigning champions Chelsea to a 1-0 win last week. But despite some decent performances, the results just are not coming for the newly-promoted side. If they can engineer a win over Arsenal, it could give the club the boost required to escape the pull of the relegation zone.

Alexander Tettey is in line for a return for the Norfolk side after a spell out with hip injury.

Arsenal without November win

Arsene Wenger will be hoping that his side can bounce back from a disappointing 2-1 defeat to West Bromwich Albion last time out. The Gunners came away empty-handed from a game in which they dominated possession, created the most chances and missed a late penalty. Prior to that match, they played out a 1-1 draw in the North London derby against Spurs and have now slipped to fourth place in the table.

The Londoners could be boosted by the return of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who has been out with a hamstring injury.

Prediction and best odds

Prior to their slip-up against West Brom last week, Arsene Wenger’s side had won three away games in a row and scored 11 goals in the process. Norwich have faced two top ten teams at home this term (Leicester and Crystal Palace) and lost on both occasions. Back the Gunners to bag an Away Win at 4/7 with Betfair.
