Chelsea will be keen to continue their revival on Sunday when they play host to top four hopefuls Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

Chelsea unbeaten since Hiddink’s arrival

Chelsea appear to have recovered from their traumatic period earlier in the season when they flirted dangerously close to the relegation zone. After the chaos of Jose Mourinho, Dutch boss Gus Hiddink has brought a sense of calm to the club, and this has had a positive effect on the pitch.

In their last seven games, the Blues have won two and drawn five but remain in the bottom half of the Premier League charts on a total of 29 points. A win at the weekend would give them a massive boost as they look for a way back into the upper reaches of the table.

The Londoners followed up their recent win away to Arsenal (0-1) with a goalless draw on the road at Watford last week.

They come into this game with a nearly full complement of players, with only Radamel Falcao ruled out.

United in top four challenge

Manchester United are five points adrift of the all-important top four places, and could fall even further behind if they do not get a positive result in London.

Despite spending a considerable amount of money, Louis van Gaal has struggled to return the club to the elite level, and many Red Devils fans remain unconvinced that he is the right man for the job.

A win against Chelsea would give the club and the manager as massive boost heading into the final dozen games of the season. There were some positive signs in the last match as United strolled to a 3-0 victory over Stoke City.

The Manchester club will continue to operate without the services of Ashley Young, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marcus Rojo and Antonio Valencia.

Prediction

Chelsea have drawn their last three home games and United have struggled for wins on the road in recent weeks.

The draw looks like the best bet and can be backed at 23/10 with Betfair.

Alexandre Pato can be backed at to score his first Chelsea goal anytime in the game at 2/1 with Betfair.
