Arsenal will attempt to resuscitate their Barclays Premier League title ambitions on Wednesday when they play host to relegation-threatened Swansea City in North London.
Welbeck return the only positive for Gunners
As the title race enters the final high-pressure stage, Arsenal have yet again suffered from a wobble. The Gunners have won just two of their last seven league matches, and have fallen five points behind pace-setters Leicester City. In addition, they have also handed a two-point advantage to North London rivals Tottenham.
Last weekend, they fell 3-2 away from home to Manchester United, with the only real positive being the return to the score sheet of striker Danny Welbeck.
With a crucial game against Spurs coming up next, Arsene Wenger will be keen to bag all three points against struggling opposition on Wednesday night.
Swansea fighting for survival
A run of four games without a win has put Swansea right back into the relegation conversation. A pair of draws followed by defeats at home to Southampton and away to title hopefuls Spurs, has halted their mini revival under new boss Francesco Guidolin.
With just 11 games left the play, the Welsh side are now sat in 16th place just three points above the drop zone. Last time out, they put in a good performance at Spurs but came away empty-handed after falling to a 2-1 defeat.
With just two away wins in the league to their name all season, the Swans will be delighted to take anything away from this game.
Prediction
Welbeck looked impressive when he came on against Barcelona in the Champions League, and found the net on his league return against Manchester United last weekend.
