Draw specialists Everton will go in search of their first win since Boxing Day when they welcome an optimistic Swansea side to Goodison Park in the Barclays Premier League on Sunday.

Toffees out to break drawing habit

Wins have not been easy to come by for Roberto Martinez’s team in the last few months. The Toffees have recorded just three victories since September, with their last coming via a late-winner at Newcastle on Boxing Day.

Remarkably, the Merseyside club has drawn 50% of all their games this season and are currently stranded in 11th place in the table, eight points clear of the drop zone.

Three of those draws have come in the last three fixtures, with a 3-3 stalemate at Chelsea last weekend the most recent. Worryingly for the Spanish Coach, his side has not won at home since they beat bottom-feeders Aston Villa back in September.

Seamus Coleman, James McCarthy and Tyias Browning are all out of action for the northwest club, while Bryan Oviedo faces a late fitness test.

A new man in charge at Swansea

Having secured a home win over Watford and announced the recruitment of a highly-experienced new Head Coach, it would be fair to say that it has been a positive week for Swansea City.

Francesco Guidolin takes over with the club just one point clear of the relegation zone having won just two of their last 12 games. They must now try to improve their dire away form when they travel north to face Everton.

On another positive note, the Welsh side have no fresh injury worries ahead of this clash,

Prediction

Everton have been poor at home having won just three all season, while Swansea have won just one of their away trips. However, the away side have a new Coach at the helm and are coming into this game on the back of a morale-boosting win.

The draw offers the best value at 14/5 with Betfair.
