Leicester City will attempt to maintain their position at the top of Premier League on Tuesday night when they play host to mid-table stalwarts West Bromwich Albion.

Leicester standing strong

As the title race reaches the final stretch, it is Leicester City who are leading the way. The pre-season relegation candidates continue to defy all the odds with their clinical performances, and have now been installed as favourites to win the league.

The Foxes have lost just one of their last 10 matches in the league, and are unbeaten in nine on home soil. Remarkably, they have not conceded a goal in any of their last five matches at the King Power Stadium.

In their last match, Claudio Ranieri’s men edged to a 1-0 win over Norwich City thanks to a last-minute goal from Leonardo Ulloa.

Right-back Danny Simpson will be available again following his absence through suspension.

West Brom all but safe

After securing back-to-back wins against Everton and Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion have almost certainly booked their place next season’s Premier League roster.

The Midland side have spent most of the season hovering below mid-table and were only briefly mentioned in the relegation conversation. They now have little left to play for apart for a top-half finish and an extra few millions of TV cash.

The recent away win at Goodison Park was their first triumph on the road in the last eight games after drawing three and losing four of the previous seven.

When they faced Leicester at the Hawthorns earlier in the season, they were narrowly beaten by a 3-2 score-line.

Prediction

Leicester have lost just one of their last 16 home games in the league and have not conceded a goal in the last five.
