Norwich vs Liverpool preview

Recent Form
Norwich: LDLWW
Liverpool: LLWWL
Two defeats on the bounce have plunged Norwich back into trouble near the foot of the Barclays Premier League table. They now go up against a Liverpool side who have found Carrow Road to be a happy hunting ground in recent years.
Norwich with two-point cushion
Norwich will start this match with a slender two-point cushion over their relegation rivals. Alex Neil`s men have kept themselves out of trouble in recent weeks but a brace of league defeats in their last two outings has not helped their survival cause.
Their plight was made even worse at the weekend when chasing teams Newcastle and Swansea bagged all three points to close the gap on the Canaries.
If results do not go their way on Saturday, the Norfolk club could find themselves languishing in the bottom three by the final whistle.
Reds frustrated by league form
Liverpool are still going strong in the two domestic cup competitions, and are in the knockout stages of the Europa League. However, their erratic league form has been a source of frustration for fans and staff alike. With fourth place seemingly out of reach, the Reds may be left with the Europa League as their only avenue to Champions League qualification.
There has been some positive news for boss Jurgen Klopp, with Jon Flanagan and Dejan Lovren both back from injury and Daniel Sturridge reportedly close to a return.
They come into this game on the back of another frustrating league match against Manchester United, in which they dominated possession, but came away with nothing thanks to some weak finishing and poor defending. They followed up that game by sending out a youthful team to dispose of Exeter City by three goals to nil in the FA Cup.
Prediction
Liverpool have a good record at Carrow Road, but have been poor on the road in recent weeks, having bagged just one goal in their last four games. The Reds are too erratic to back this week.
Under 2.5 Goals has paid out in the last six home games featuring Norwich City and can be backed at 11/10 with Betfair.
