The runners-up from Group A and C will go head-to-head in the first round of 16 match on Saturday as shut-out specialists Poland take on unbeaten Switzerland with a quarter-final place up for grabs.

Poland have yet to concede a goal at the tournament and have been very efficient with their possession. They bagged seven points in their group stage campaign after beating Ukraine and Northern Ireland (both 1-0) and drawing 0-0 against world champions Germany.

Switzerland made 600 more passes then Poland on their way to the last 16 and enjoyed an impressive 90% passing accuracy. However, they did not were far more wasteful in front of goal, having converted just two of their 42 attempts on goal.

The Swiss conceded just one goal in the group stage on their way to amassing a total of five points. In their final group game, they held host France to a 0-0 draw in Lille.

Both teams had similar defensive statistics so once again it should come down to who can make the most of their chances. Switzerland should enjoy the bulk of the possession but Poland will be hoping that Robert Lewandowski can finally find some form at this tournament and lead them to victory.
