Two teams with plenty still to play for will go head-to-head on Saturday as Europe-chasing Liverpool welcome title hopefuls Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield in the Barclays Premier League.
In their last game, Liverpool looked to be on course for all three points when they took a 2-0 lead against European qualification rivals Southampton. Unfortunately for the Reds, a second-half comeback from the Saints left them empty-handed and put a massive dent in their top four ambitions.
As a result, Jurgen Klopp’s men remain seven point outside of the top four and may now have to set their sights on a Europa League place. A win this weekend would certainly boost their cause and could also have a huge influence on the destination of the Premier League Title.
The Reds have a decent record at home in 2016, having lost just one of their last seven Premier League matches at Anfield.
Meanwhile, opponents Tottenham Hotspur still have a chance of claiming Premier League glory and may need a win on Saturday to keep that dream alive. The North London side have the best form of any team in the league over the last 12 games but are still five points adrift of league leaders Leicester City. They need to keep winning games while hoping that the Foxes slip up heading into the final half-dozen games.
In their last league match, Mauricio Pochettino’s men grabbed all three points with a 3-0 win over AFC Bournemouth. In form striker Harry Kane bagged two of those goals to take his total for the season to 21.
Prediction
Liverpool have been strong at home in recent weeks, while Spurs have won six of their last eight away games.
The best bet could lie in the Anytime Goalscorer market where in-form Harry Kane is available at 5/4 with Betfair.
