There is a full schedule of Premier League action to look forward to this weekend including four games on Sunday thanks to Tottenham and Everton’s Thursday night Europa League adventures.

Let’s take a quick look at some of the betting opportunities that are available this weekend in the corner betting market.

If we look at the under and over 10.5 corner market there are four games that stand out:

Under 10.5

Burnley v Hull City

Bottom-of-the-table Burnley have a fairly low average corner count of 4.4 per home game. Their opponents at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon will Steve Bruce’s Hull City who currently sit 10th in the league. The Tiger’s average just 3.8 corners per away game but tend to concede quite a few with an average of 7.8 against.

Despite Hull’s ability to concede corners away, Burnley are the third worst team in the league at winning home corners. As a result, this game should be considered in the under 10.5 corner category with a total corner prediction of 8-9 and X-Corners total of under 20.

Swansea v Arsenal

Garry Monk’s Swansea team have impressed in many areas this season but winning corners is not one of their strong points. The Swans are not a team that likes getting to the by-line and only win an average of 1.8 corners per home game making them by far the worst in the league.

Their opponents this weekend will be Arsenal and Arsene Wenger’s team are pretty average when it comes to winning corners on the road. Their total of 4.6 per away game is just 0.2 above the overall league benchmark. Unless Swansea have a dramatic change of tactics, this game should produce the lowest corner count of any in this weekend’s Premier League programme. A total corner count of just 7-8 can be expected.

Over 10.5

QPR v Man City

Harry Redknapp’s team may be struggling in the league but they are just above average when it comes to winning corners at home. So far this season, they have averaged 6.2 per game at Loftus Road. They will be visited by Manchester City who are the second best in the league at winning corners away from home.

Manuel Pellegrini’s team will be hoping to bounce back from their European disappointment and this should be an open and entertaining game. A corner total of 11-12 can be expected.

Tottenham Hotspur v Stoke City

Spurs fans may not be too excited by the news that their team is second in the home corner table behind rivals Arsenal but it does provide us with one last corner betting opportunity. Spurs win an average of 8.6 corners per home game while Sunday’s opponents Stoke City manage an average of 3.4 on their travels. These stats push this game into the over 10.5 goal territory and should have a corner count of 11.5 or over.
