With eight games already gone in the Premier League, we can now get a good idea of which teams are hot in the BTTS or Goals Galore markets.

This type of bet is now very popular with casual punters but many serious gamblers love to dabble in this markets thanks to the good prices available and the ease with which the market can be researched.

So let’s focus on the Barclays Premier League and see which teams are tearing up the Both Teams to Score market.

Leicester

Without a doubt, the surprise package in this year’s Premier League campaign have been Leicester City. The Foxes have only lost a single game all season and currently sit in fifth place in the table. They are also top of the Goals Galore table with a 100% record home and away.

BTTS ratio: Home 100% – Away 100% – Total 100%

Norwich

Norwich are not far behind Leicester when it comes to faring well in the Both Teams to Score market. They have yet to keep a clean sheet and have only failed to score once – when they travelled away to Southampton back in August.

BTTS ratio: Home 100% – Away 75% – Total 87.5%

Chelsea

Jose Mourinho is not a manager known for conceding many goals but his Chelsea side have kept just one clean sheet all season – at home to Arsenal; and they have only failed to score a goal once – away to Manchester City. As a result, they are a good bet in the BTTS market.

BTTS ratio: Home 75% – Away 75% – Total 75%

Teams to avoid

None of Arsenals home games have resulted in both teams scoring and only 50% of their away games have been Goals Galore winners, so the Gunners should be avoided in this market.

Watford also have a 0% BTTS record at home but when they play away their record jumps to 75% and they should be considered, depending on the opposition. Aston Villa, Bournemouth and Swansea all have 75% Goals Galore records when playing away from home but do not score highly on home soil.

West Ham, Everton and Sunderland should also be considered in this market but only when they are playing at home against suitable opposition. All three have a 75% strike rate on home soil.

When betting in this market, remember to look out for teams with high percentages that are playing each other. If the combined percentage of the home and away team is 140% or more, then the bet falls into the BTTS “sweet spot.”
