Who will Wigan beat next? Fulham Vs Wigan Athletic preview. - Lets

First it was Man United, next, Arsenal, who will Wigan beat next? Roberto Martinez’s team are barnstorming their way out of the relegation zone. Is it because Wigan where a well organised team playing against a lackadaisical Arsenal, or because the top teams let their guard drop playing against teams who aren’t snipping at the heals?

Franco Di Santo scored wigan’s first goal very early on, before the game had a chance to get settled. Arsenal didn’t even get a chance to drop their guard….

Quote from Roberto Martinez,”However, we can’t really enjoy it because moments like this will mean nothing if we don’t get enough points to stay up.”  Sounds like the manager wants Wigan to continue playing at top form.

Wigan will beat Fulahm next, IMHO. It’s goes against what the stats suggest.  There’s one thing the stats can’t tell us and that’s what effect momentum has.  Wigan are playing well and this positive form could lead them to victory against Fulham.

Fulham play Wigan on Saturday 21st April 2012 at 3pm GMT.

Oh no, Fulham look better when it comes to corners as well.

On the face of it Fulham should be the favourites in this match, in fact, they are the favourites.   These stats only give an indication of the average game.  Over the past 3 games Wigan have shown that they are far from being the average team at the moment.

Disclosure. I am a Tottenham supporter, so it was great to to see Wigan beat Fulham because it helps reduce Arsenal’s points lead over Tottenham at the top of the table.
