Sat 30 Nov 2013 15:00 – Everton v Stoke (Goodison Park)
Referee: Mike Jones
Here is another great preview from Neill who has spotted a great cover corner betting opportunity.
Everton still have not been beaten at home since December 2012 and Stoke do not appear to have the credentials to break that record, having secured just one win on the road this season. That win came at West Ham and their only other away win in 2013 was against QPR back in April.
Everton will be without Leighton Baines who will be out of action for some considerable time while Stoke should have Stephen Ireland available after his recent ankle injury.
Everton are managing to score an average of 1.5 goals per game at home this season and are conceding an average of just 1 per game. Meanwhile Stoke concede an average of 1.8 eight per game but only manage to net an average of 1.2 per game. Half of the games involving both teams result in fewer than 2.5 goals so there is no obvious value in the under/over 2.5 goals market. Over 80% of Everton’s home games and Stoke’s away games have resulted in more than 10.5 corners. Over 10 or over 11 corner bets recommended.
Stoke will not make it easy for Roberto Martinez’s team but Everton have turned Goodison Park into a fortress during 2013. Mark Hughes’ team has scored in four out of the last five away games and could well sneak a goal this weekend but the home side should have enough quality to prevail despite the absence of Baines at left back.
Match prediction: Everton 2-1 Stoke City
