Something Brendan Rogers has given them free rain to do.  David Moyes has played Rooney further forward and to the right of van Persie.  A position which may take some time to get used to, possibly explaining why the old guard are lagging the SAS strike force.

Who will be 2013/14 top goal scorer? Suarez missed the first 5 matches due to suspension.  If he had played every game he would surely be top right now.  We’d favour Suarez over Sturridge, and, the SAS partnership over, Rooney and Van Persie.

Suarez is the bookmakers favourite, followed by Aguero, then, van Persie.  Sturridge sits at fourth favourite.   Olivier Giroud of Arsenal sits at fourth top goal scorer but is 5th favourite.  Make of that what you will.  Making prediction about top goal scorer may be easier if team form is taken into account.  Man City have lost a few away matches recently which could be affecting the confidence of their star striker.  Aguero could be the surprise top goal scorer of 2013/14.

Punters with more experience may want to make a Dutch bet with the top 3 preferred top goal scorers.  We would choose, Suarez, Aguero and Giroud, for a top goal scorer Dutch.  That’s right van Persie doesn’t get a look in.  Just because he’s Dutch doesn’t make him a top goal scorer in 2014.
